Is it time to seek a different path and overcome the issues that keep you from living a peaceful and meaningful life? InnerSights Counseling and Consultation, Inc. can help you! Two counselors, Dr. Rhonda Sutton and Cynthia Brown, are available to assist individuals, adults, adolescents, children, couples and families.
Dr. Rhonda Sutton, a licensed professional counselor and owner of InnerSights Counseling and Consultation, Inc., established this practice because she believes that all of us want to heal from the past, create a better present, and work towards a more promising future. To do this, she employs person-centered, EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) and cognitive-behavioral approaches in my counseling practice. She is also trained in the Gottman method for couples experiencing relationship issues. She works with individuals and couples so that they can find their path to the change and growth they want and need. Dr. Sutton believes in the power of counseling, and she enjoys helping people lead more fulfilling lives. She views counseling as a partnership where she works with her clients to help them overcome challenges, process experiences and find healthier ways to be the person they want to be. Dr. Sutton also knows that not everyone necessarily needs therapy; therefore, she offers coaching/consultation services to help with short-term issues. She can help clients experience positive change as they uncover the deeply embedded beliefs and behaviors that impact them, empower them and limit them.
Cynthia Brown, M.Ed., services children, adolescents, families and couples who struggle with various issues including disruptive behavior disorders (e.g., Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), autism, anxiety disorders, attachment disorders, depression, relationship issues, and psychotic disorders. She has been trained in Trauma-Focused CBT which allows her to assist children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. She is also versed in working with adults who have experienced traumatic events. Every client has the right to a counseling plan that caters to his or her individuality. This includes the presenting issue(s), needs, and cultural background. Ms. Brown uses an integrative approach to counseling which is person-centered.
Oftentimes, therapy or consultation, along with assessments and inventories, can assist individuals with discovering the strengths and challenges they have; becoming aware of these is the first step to understanding how to resolve issues that inhibit growth. InnerSights Counseling and Consultation, Inc. provides an array of services to help clients with both their personal well-being and professional development in a caring, safe, and non-judgmental atmosphere.
In addition to being a licensed professional counselor, Dr. Sutton is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) and offer both individual and group supervision to LPCAs, counselors-in-training and others who may be licensed but desire additional supervision or consultation.
